Five November startup events in Los Angeles, from a West Hollywood demo day to a biotech pitch mixer, and how founders can choose.

LA Founder Events in November 2026: Pitch Nights and Demo Days

November is a busy month for Los Angeles founders who want to pitch, meet investors or just compare notes before the holidays slow everything down. Below is a guide to startup events on the calendar, with what each one offers and who it fits best. All details come from the organizers' own listings as of late October, so confirm times, prices and locations before you go.

Wednesday, Nov. 4: Startup Valley Pitch Night

Startup Valley is hosting a ticketed pitch and networking night at Audio Graph Beer Co., with doors at 7 p.m., according to its event page. The schedule runs from registration and networking to a pitch session at 8 p.m., where four to six founders present and take questions from investors, followed by open networking until about 10 p.m.

Good to know: pitch slots are paid and selected in advance through an application with your deck. The organizer says the slot includes pitch coaching and deck feedback, and that institutional investors, angels and scouts with a track record can attend free by applying. If you're just there to meet people, the page suggests arriving with one sentence about what you're building.

Tuesday, Nov. 10: StartOut Demo Day LA

StartOut, which focuses on LGBTQ+ founders, brings its Demo Day to The Abbey in West Hollywood from 5 to 7 p.m. Queer and allied founders pitch to a panel of judges for cash prizes of $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000 for the top three, plus non-monetary prizes, per the StartOut event page. The event is sponsored by the law firm Littler.

Good fit for: early-stage founders who want stage time in front of judges and a room that's oriented toward community as much as capital.

Thursday, Nov. 19: fnLA Chapter Coffee Connect

Founders Network's Los Angeles chapter is holding a free coffee meetup at 5 p.m., and guests are welcome, according to the Founders Network listing. The format is informal: members and guests talk through startup challenges and recent milestones. Founders Network sessions run under a confidentiality policy, so what's shared stays in the room.

Good fit for: founders who want candid peer advice more than a pitch slot.

Monday, Nov. 23: LA BioTech, Pharma & MedTech Networking and Pitch Mixer

The Founders Club is hosting a life sciences mixer at Bar Henry, 1228 Sunset Blvd., from 7 to 10 p.m., per its Eventbrite listing. The night mixes one-minute founder pitches with open networking and match-style introductions. The listing names therapeutics, diagnostics, AI platforms, lab automation and clinical workflows among the focus areas and caps attendance at 50.

Good fit for: health and life science founders, researchers looking for co-founders, and operators exploring the sector.

Wednesday, Nov. 25: Startup Networking LA, Founders, Investors & Talent Mixer

The night before Thanksgiving, Ascent Valley hosts an in-person mixer at 617 S. Spring St. in downtown LA from 7 to 10 p.m. The event is listed on Somo, which notes that it automatically aggregates listings and is not the organizer, and points to Universe for tickets. The description mentions structured networking and a chance for selected founders to present to the room.

Good fit for: founders who are hiring, and job seekers looking for their next startup role.

How to get the most out of a month of events

These are our suggestions, not tips from the organizers.

  1. Pick two, not five. Choose events that match your stage and sector. One focused room beats a week of generic mixers.
  2. Know what you're asking for. Decide before you walk in whether you want investor intros, a technical co-founder, early customers or hires, and say so in your first sentence.
  3. Read the fine print on pitch slots. Some events charge founders to pitch. Weigh what's included, such as coaching or newsletter features, against the cost and against free options like demo days.
  4. Follow up within 48 hours. A short note referencing your conversation does more than a stack of business cards.
  5. Track what works. Note which events led to real meetings. By December you'll know where to spend your time in 2027.

Know of another LA founder event we should include? Send it our way and we'll consider it for a future roundup.
